SONOGRAPHER / ULTRASOUND TECHNICIAN

Healthcare Partners, a busy medical practice in The Villages is looking for a full-time Sonographer or Ultrasound Technician that can assist our providers on diagnosing, treatment and monitoring a variety of conditions and diseases.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ultrasound equipment and exam room following safety protocols
  • Maintain exam room with needed supplies and materials
  • Review the patient’s medical chart prior to their appointment to determine images required
  • Explain procedures to patients, answer their questions, and position the patients on the table
  • Perform sonogram as ordered by the provider and obtain images
  • Print patient orders and tech sheets
  • Complete documentation and post appropriate procedure code/charges
  • Transmit images/studies to radiology facilities

 Qualifications

  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Sonography.
  • An industry certification and state license may be advantageous.
  • Must be able to perform several types of ultrasounds: Echocardiography, Vascular Sonography, Abdominal Sonography, etc.
  • Proficient on using a computer and electronic medical record.
  • Prior experience on working on GE Vivid S5 machine is a plus
  • Strong technical, communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills.
  • Strong analytical, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Must have advanced attention to detail.
  • Able to multitask and have excellent organizational skills is essential.
